Rural Education Activities Programmes (REAPs) provide education opportunities and support to their communities. Central King Country REAP has a public computer available, with internet. The REAP is a DIAA partner and offers Stepping UP (free computer & internet training in easy steps, relevant to your life and interests, in informal friendly classes) and Spark Jump (prepay broadband with no contract, no credit checks, no set-up charges for families with children).
JUMP is a pre-pay internet connection designed for families with children aged up to 18 who don’t have a current broadband connection at home, and whose household is in a 4G/4G700 coverage area. Workshop participants receive a free Wi-Fi modem and their first 30GB of data is free. Top-ups are $10 for 30GB on a pre-pay service – there is no fixed contract required.
