    Rural Education Activities Programmes (REAPs) provide education opportunities and support to their communities. Central King Country REAP has a public computer available, with internet. The REAP is a DIAA partner and offers Stepping UP (free computer & internet training in easy steps, relevant to your life and interests, in informal friendly classes) and Spark Jump (prepay broadband with no contract, no credit checks, no set-up charges for families with children).

    JUMP is a pre-pay internet connection designed for families with children aged up to 18 who don’t have a current broadband connection at home, and whose household is in a 4G/4G700 coverage area. Workshop participants receive a free Wi-Fi modem and their first 30GB of data is free.  Top-ups are $10 for 30GB on a pre-pay service – there is no fixed contract required.

  • Hakeke St Library Digital Inclusion Orgn.

    Whanganui District Library, in partnership with the Whanganui Advocacy and Support Trust (WAST) community centre, operate the Hakeke Street Library in Whanganui East.

    The library is self-service, with WAST staff providing basic assistance for library members during opening hours (9.00am-1.00pm weekdays, except Wednesdays).

    The WAST team have also joined forces with the Digital Inclusion Alliance Aotearoa to provide low-cost and financially flexible connectivity.
